Three generations strong, we take pride in delivering the finest onions from our South Texas farm to homes across the USA. Tex Mex Sales is a family owned & operated company dedicated to growing, packing, and delivering the best US #1 quality Sweet and Regular onions to our customers on a year round basis.
Tex Mex Sales was the brain child of a young Marvin Davis. Marvin started in the produce business in 1961, and then became a chain store buyer for Topco from 1963-1968. In 1968 he left Topco and set out on the American Dream by going into business for himself.
Marvin started Tex Mex Sales and in 1981, his son Michael Davis started to work for the company.
At the age of 10, Michael worked in the shed doing every job at the facility. From inspecting the equipment to packing onions for shipment to cleaning crew to even delivering onions himself. Michael worked his way up the company whenever he wasn't at school.
In 1994, after graduating from college, Michael moved back home to become a full partner in Tex Mex Sales.
In 2019, Kristen Davis joined her father, Michael, and grandfather, Marvin, in the Tex-Mex sales family. She heads up the Food Safety Department and works really in all aspects of the business. She has helped the entire business modernize and work more efficiently.

In 2023, Mike Davis Jr. joined his father, Michael, and sister, Kristen, in the Tex-Mex sales family. Mike Jr. is a jack of all traits and works in every aspect of the business. From the farm, to the shed, and even in the office, he's hands on and always helping our family business.
